Are we less safe?

Did you know Congress has approved that U.S. Homeland Security give out 70,000 Asia-Pacific Business Travel Cards to any Asian-Pacific businessperson who gets a visa and pays a fee for the card. This allows for frequent business trips into the U.S. in order to encourage international trade. After getting the card, the card holders can get expedited international treatment and can bypass some of the security lines. In addition, the U.S. has a similar program with 18 other countries, including Russia. There are over 180,00 current card holders. Next, Congress hopes to have similar cards available to American "important people" who travel for international trade. I'm sure every member of Congress and their family members will be applying for the American allotment of cards.
As I see it, this is a way around Homeland Security. While the TSA agents are frisking granny and the baby, the real potential terrorists will be bypassing security via the Economic Travel Business Cards.
It only takes a few terrorists to co-ordinate a plot against Americans. I feel Congress has let us down by risking American safety at home and in the air.
