The Modesto Bee endorsed Denham because Goodwin is a mediator and arbitrator and her name is not on the bar list.

The Modesto Bee has missed the whole point of this very important election and does not understand the bar list. After attaining your Juris Doctorate, you only need to apply for the bar if you are practicing before the court. Otherwise, it is a very expensive unnecessary process to initiate and maintain. Goodwin does not need a bar license and she is a PHYSICIAN. That is why the term "attorney is best, because most non-lawyers do not understand the reasons for bar certification. The term "attorney" just makes it easier for everyone to understand. As a mediator and arbitrator GoodWIN does the same things as an attorney, except out of court and the process is much cheaper and quicker (can be completely done in 1 or two days. So, GoodWIN handles auto accidents, hospital disputes (you complain of service or charges, physician/patient disputes, contract disputes, divorce, landlord/tenent disputes, and more....
